A vacancy has arisen for a Tax Manager to join the UK GI Tax Department, which provides a comprehensive tax advisory, tax reporting and tax compliance service to the business, covering both direct and indirect taxes.

The department is built around four specialist teams each led by a senior manager, who in turn report to the Head of Tax and then to the Director of Tax. There are some 20 tax professionals employed in the department.

The Aviva tax community is regarded as one of the best and most progressive commercial tax departments in the UK. The tax department is well run and there is a culture of aspiring to continual improvement and high performance and looking after our colleagues to help them succeed.

You should be fully competent in all major aspects of corporation tax. Training will be provided where required on both Abacus tax software and the group’s financial accounting systems.

The role is a full time one but requests for flexible working would be seriously considered in the light of work priorities.
