Senior Manager/Specialist VAT - Top Tier Firm
With an extensive client base already, there is a significant opportunity to make immediate 'wins' and develop new business. In addition to developing new business, the role will include establishing a market-leading team of VAT specialists. Further responsibilities will include the following: � To market the consultancy both internally and externally by writing various articles and VAT updates when requested. � To provide internal training to staff, managers and partners in order to increase VAT awareness throughout the firm and assist with identifying potential VAT issues. � To ensure that the job is completed within budget, and to discuss all material points arising with the assignment partner in the first instance and client immediately, particularly in relation to any anticipated overruns. � To develop a detailed knowledge of the firm's specialist services, and to undertake special work in response to client needs where appropriate. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in client handling and operating at Manager Level in a similar role. You will also have to demonstrate business development experience especially in relation to targets where there is no existing relationship. You will have excellent communication skills and preferably possess relevant professional qualifications.
