find the answers they need quickly. We are now seeking a Group Tax Manager to lead our team of tax
professionals based in Oxford and the US east coast.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Managing all indirect tax matters for the Elsevier group, including all planning, M&A and advisory matters, in addition to managing the compliance process.
Managing all tax matters arising in connection with new product and systems developments.
Liaising with the Reed Elsevier head office tax department with regard to all corporation tax matters of the Elsevier companies, including compliance, accounting, planning and advisory issues.
Maintaining and further developing all tax risk and governance policies and procedures for the Elsevier group companies.
Leading and developing the tax team including the mentoring of staff and setting budget.

To succeed in this role, you will preferably be ACA and/or CTA qualified with a breadth of tax technical
experience gained in a fast-paced commercial environment. Enthusiastic and robust in approach, you must have the ability to combine your in-depth indirect tax experience with a broader tax awareness and excellent
interpersonal skills.
