An exciting 12 month contract within a leading organisation has arisen. The role will involve the following:-
Overall responsibility for the UK tax compliance to maintain and optimise group's tax position. Ensure detailed work timetables are prepared and monitored to ensure all relevant tax compliance deadlines are met. This will involve ensuring tax returns have been filed on time, all relevant claims and elections have been made on time, enquiry notices are managed and queries responded to, etc. Assist the UK Tax Manager in all aspects of our relationship with HMRC. This will involve dealing with queries, managing meetings, initiating dialogue and briefings of transactions, maintaining good working relations, etc. Dealing with the Group's controlled foreign company reporting and compliance issues and obligations. Calculation and monitoring of the worldwide debt cap position for the UK group. Dealing with the Group's substantial shareholding exemption issues. Dealing with withholding tax issues in relation to interest payments and receipts. Maintain well documented files addressing the tax issues of the Group, in light of SAO requirements.
