PFI / Corporate Tax Manager / Senior Manager - Manchester

A really interesting opportunity is on offer within the Manchester office of this Big 4 corporate tax team. It seeks an established Corporate Tax Manager (or a newly promoted Senior Manager) for a role which combines handling a portfolio of corporate clients with a specialist role dealing with Public Finance Initiative (PFI) projects as part of the firm’s national Infrastructure Tax Advisory team.

Reporting to the local Director, the responsibilities include providing tax advice and support to the transaction support team upon the tax implications in respect to the refinancing of PFI bodies and tax audits of the forecasting models that are prepared as part of the PFI bidding process.

Due to the specialist nature of the team it would be beneficial, but is not essential, for the successful candidate to have some previous experience of dealing with PFI tax projects.

You will be either ACA or CTA qualified with previous experience in a Big 4 or national firm. In addition you will have had experience of mentoring more junior members of staff and will have excellent interpersonal skills.
