Our clients' international tax team is responsible for direct tax planning and compliance for the European region. In addition the team is responsible for assisting UK and European business lines with transfer pricing issues arising as a consequence of intra-group activities.

Due to recent restructuring in the team there is now the need to recruit a Transfer Pricing specialist

The successful individual will help devise and implement transfer pricing policies, within the context of the Group's overall transfer pricing approach;

More specifically the successful candidate will -
.
Manage ad hoc transfer pricing queries and assist business and UK/regional tax teams with transfer pricing compliance;
Manage and develop policies, arising from Group policies, and recommend procedures and Practices regarding the pricing and documentation of all intra-group transactions as well as monitoring the implementation of Group transfer pricing policies;
Develop and carry out a strategic transfer pricing review plan for the region, identifying, documenting and reviewing intra-group transactions and recommending appropriate action to mitigate the transfer pricing risk;
Developing a clear understanding of business needs and expectations and developing appropriate transfer pricing solutions that support their requirements
Assist with the localisation of transfer pricing documentation. Produce and champion best practice controls and documentation standards the Group to achieve optimal standards of transfer pricing compliance.

To be considered for the role you will be

A qualified tax professional (preferably Chartered Accountant). International tax and transfer pricing experience, preferably derived from an industry role (not necessarily FS) and a good general knowledge of the other direct and indirect taxes impinging on the conduct of business cross-border.

Effective negotiator, computer literate and capable of project management. Highly effective communication and presentational skills. Ability to work under pressure to demanding deadlines imposed by project timescales or tax authority requirements. Well developed analytical, organisational and time management skills. Capable of developing this role independently in a pro-active way and of working well across different teams.
