Role description
Reporting to thePrivate Client Partner & to some extent the Corporate Tax Partner. You'll manage 2 staff. The Department has c 1000 returns, a significant proportion of these, are outsourced & require little management.
The Tax Partner is seeking a strong Manager, who can assist him in developing the business, which isgrowing & has real potential for significantfuture growth. The successful candidate, will be capable of managing staff, reviewing work & dealing with high level client enquiries, in order to facilitate the Tax Partner's successful development activities. In addition, the Partner is seeking an individual with the maturity & imagination to contribute to the strategic development of the Private Client practice.
There is defined potential for the successful applicant to progress to Tax Director, with on-track performance.
· Processing complex tax returns (c 100)
· Review of private clients tax returns to initiate tax planning - from own client list and outsourced cases
· Formation and running of trusts
· Inheritance tax planning and reporting
·Non domicileds -(working knowledge of FA2008 rules required)
· Provide the tax team and practice with technical updates and develop appropriate marketing initiatives
· Work with Tax Partners to develop the clients and the overall practice
Who we're looking for
The client is looking for a combination of anefficient, commercially astute Manager, the successful candidate will be able to make decisions & get things done; essentially be ready to take on high levels of responsibility.
Candidates need to be technically strong, with a good track record in Private Client work, however the successfulapplicant doesn't need to be CTA.
