This is a new temporary position introduced to support the tax department for a world-leading investment management business. The overall purpose of the role is to provide technical experience and additional resource to support the acquisition and reorganization and integration of the acquired group with the companies post acquisition as well as to provide cover on ongoing international tax matters during this period. Responsibilities • Post acquisition restructuring of entities, eg forming single consolidated group in the US; • Alignment of transfer policy arrangements, including redrafting of agreements where necessary; • Identifying and documenting tax risks in the structure • Advising on ongoing partnership structures in the group • Dealing with ongoing international tax issues, including transfer pricing arrangements and product structuring issues. Requirements • Financial Accounting: Accounting experience or qualification useful but not necessary • Tax: Solid International or M&A experience. Tax qualification useful; but not necessary. • Project management: The role is project focused around the acquisition but will also involve dealing with ongoing tax issues within the group. The candidate should be proactive, have good planning skills and should have demonstrated the capability to produce quality deliverables. • Business knowledge: Knowledge and experience of the investment management business model, and particularly partnership structures, would be a strong advantage.
