Treasury Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all Treasury operations, middle office, and accounting activities and provide leadership and direction to the accounting and operations teams.


• Co-ordinate with the Controllers' group responsible for operations and accounting for treasury activities in other countries in the region to provide guidance and to ensure consistent controls and standard global operating processes for treasury activities in the region.


• Ensure all operations, middle office, and accounting activities are conducted with optimum control, effectiveness and efficiency in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all GAAP, tax and legal requirements and with internal policies.


• Monitor and keep informed of key transactions in the business. Understand and anticipate accounting and operations implications of transactions and trading strategies. Provide direction and training to the operations, middle office, and accounting teams in the implementation of new products, new business, trading strategies and procedures.

Education

• Recognized University degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics
• Professional Accountancy Qualification

Experience
• At least 10 years' experience in finance/accounting role
• Demonstrated experience in leading large teams of professional level staff

Required Skills

• Actively promote the creation of value within a strong control framework
• Work to ensure effective and efficient operations, reliability and accuracy of financial and management reporting and compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies
• Knowledge of USGAAP treatment of financial markets and trade finance products
