The role
- To build and expand a portfolio of PCT clients, acting as their first point of contact and managing the delivery of both tax and other specialist assignments to scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of PCT assignments for a designated range of clients and specialist assignments, coordinating all relevant input to meet client needs, compliance standards and budget.
- Prepare tax computations and support the tax consultancy team by highlighting any possible issues and producing appropriate information.
- Resolve tax issues and produce complete tax files ready for review, proactively supporting the PCT manager in client meetings.
- Provide feedback for team members, following assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality of work undertaken by Target.
- Take ownership of specialist assignments as designated (IHT/Wills, CGT planning etc), undertaking the work and producing complete reports in line with client brief and Target standards and budget.
- Review smaller assignments undertaken by PCT assistants, provide coaching and address outstanding issues in order to facilitate hot file reviews by the PCT manager.
- Develop strong working relationships with allocated clients through assignments and regular contact in order to identify additional support or services appropriate to their circumstances and introduce to other specialists within the group where necessary, ensuring client database is maintained up to date.
Education and Training:
- CTA/ACA (or equivalent) and ongoing CPD
Experience:
- Sound experience in a tax environment with exposure to range of complex assignments
- Ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, experience and competency
