Our client is looking for an employer solutions assistant manager to join their team in the centre of Manchester. Expatriate tax experience is a prerequisite and the role provides an unusual opportunity for an expatriate tax specialist to get the chance to deal with broader employment tax work. This role will involve: · Expatriate tax compliance and planning work.
· Managing an interesting and varied portfolio of smaller programmes and HNW resident and domicile cases.
· Advising companies and HR professionals on issues affecting their expat populations including employment contracts, social security issues etc.
· Increasing your technical knowledge and advising on general employment tax issues such as benefits in kind, termination payments and PAYE and NIC planning.
· Advising on the tax treatment of share options.
· Considerable client contact and liaison with HMR&C and third parties such as law firms and banks.
· Assisting senior staff with business development activities and developing the ability to identify potential leads for other departments in the firm.
· Working alongside colleagues in areas such as tax investigations and corporate tax – internal marketing.
You will ideally be ATT or CTA qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ expatriate tax experience; however the firm is also happy to see candidates who are qualified by experience. Some previous employment taxes experience would be an advantage. Above all you should be a team player with a commercial outlook and good communication skills. There is a clear opportunity for promotion in the medium term. |
