Luton-based chartered accountants and business advisers, Foxley Kingham are delighted to announce their support of four excellent local charities, for whom they will fundraise over the next year, as part of the Foxley Kingham Anniversary Foundation. The Foundation was established after the success of the Charity Challenge which was launched to mark the company’s 50th anniversary, in early 2018.
Since the anniversary, the team at Foxley Kingham raised over £50,000 for 17 local charities and good causes. This year the Foundation Trustee Board and Committee are championing the theme of ‘Youth Engagement’ and have chosen partner charities whose vital work supports young people in the local area. The charities selected this year are Luton Town FC Community Trust, Youthscape, Marsh Farm Futures and The Lord’s Taverners.
Paul Bithrey, Director, commented:
“We are delighted to be helping this amazing group of charity partners through our Anniversary Foundation. Their work to support and enhance the lives of young people in our local community is admirable. We are looking forward to a successful year ahead fund-raising for these commendable charities.”
Chris Curtis, Chief Executive explained more about what support from the Foundation will mean to Youthscape:
“We strive to give every young person in Luton the social and emotional foundations on which to build their lives and achieve their potential. Where they face disadvantage or crisis - through their mental health or other circumstances - we want to offer help. That’s the vision and heart of Youthscape. The support of Foxley Kingham and their commitment to the local community is vital to making that possible. This partnership is a great honour to us and we hope it will result in hundreds of young people in the town receiving mentoring, advice and support”
Paul Robin, Chief Executive at The Lord’s Taverners said:
“Wicketz in Luton has been a major success story for us and with the support of the Foxley Kingham Anniversary Foundation we’ll be able to positively influence communities to an even greater extent in the area through cricket. Nothing unites people quite like sport and in partnership with the Foundation we’ll be able to do so much good through this great game.”
The Anniversary Foundation Team are busy pulling together a calendar of fundraising events and initiatives and a group of seven staff members have already braved the elements and the hills to take part in the London to Brighton cycle ride in June, raising over four thousand pounds.
A Fawlty Towers themed dinner is next in the fundraising diary. On Friday 15 November Basil and co. will be providing a 3 course dinner and high-energy cabaret show (which ‘may’ contain some hilarious mishaps). The event will take place in the Eric Morecombe Suite at Luton Town FC and tickets are available from: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/foxleykinghamanniversaryfoundation
