Tax Service Line Overview   

We provide bespoke advice in all areas of taxation, helping our clients to navigate the complexities of tax codes, often in multiple jurisdictions, and to help them ensure they are fulfilling all their obligations and paying the correct amount of tax.  In this way we help them to manage an area of significant financial and reputational risk and to make properly informed decisions about their tax position whether they are an individual, a business owner or a corporate organisation. We also help clients resolve any disputes they have with the tax authorities as swiftly as possible.

Job Purpose

The role is important as it provides consistency and efficiency in the annual tax return preparation cycle across a diverse client portfolio managed by different team members.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Role is to lead the GM tax Compliance process with responsibility for:
  • Overseeing compliance cycle
  • Regular stats updates and reporting
  • Allocate and monitor resource for tax return preparation
  • Manage HMRC correspondence
  • Relationship direct with clients in relation to compliance work
  • Reviewing and signing out returns
  • Top side reviewing
  • Annual updates to organiser, and all standard documents
  • Work with advisory managers to agree auth lists
  • Working with CCH  - acting as contact point for technology related queries

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The successful applicant will be an experienced expatriate tax manager with a minimum of 10 years' experience. They will need to be flexible in their approach to work, willing to take on new challenges and highly organised as the role will rely on their ability to lead the team through the compliance season.  Experience working with CCH  is also preferable.
