£65,000 - £75,000 + bonuses & benefits

A recently acquired financial services business is expanding its in-house tax function. The Tax Manager will report directly to an experienced Head of Tax, working closely with outsourced advisors and internal teams to increase in-house capabilities. All compliance is outsourced, leaving a good level of advisory work and commercial focus. The high-level areas of responsibility in this role will include:

• Managing the tax calendar and working with external tax advisors on tax return preparations, and managing tax compliance. This will draw on a variety of direct and indirect taxes.
• Working across all European entities (UK, Bermuda, France, Belgium Switzerland, Singapore) and project managing with external advisors overseas.
• Supporting the Head of Tax on complex tax advisory work and ad-hoc projects.

This makes an excellent opportunity for the recently qualified tax professional with in-house aspirations, likely looking to diversify upon their UK corporate tax specialism. The successful candidate:

• ACA/CTA qualification is essential
• Prior experience in a UK corporate tax focused position essential
• European or partnerships tax experience advantageous
• While the compliance is outsourced here, prior experience in a 'doing' role is considered advantageous.
• Strong communication skills; able to liaise with finance and commercial stakeholders and overseas advisors.
• The right to work permanently in the UK without sponsorship requirements.
