In our client's Technology and Transformation team, you’ll get the opportunity to use and build upon your experience in strategy and process consulting, data management, system implementation and process automation to help clients manage the strategic and practical challenges they face.

 


Key responsibilities

 

  • Manage and deliver a variety of client projects in the following areas:
    • Defining finance and tax technology strategies, implementing financial operational controls and performance measurements through the use of suitable technology solutions.
    • Improve the quality of financial and tax data and implement software tools to make the processing and reporting of data more efficient.
    • Configure software solutions along with process improvement that supports the effective finance and tax reporting processes automation.
  • Lead technology business development activities across finance and tax, such as publishing thought leadership articles, presenting at internal and external conferences and creating sales strategies.
  • Maintain internal, external and vendor relationships to generate new project opportunities.
  • Support the operational management of the team, such as appraisal and learning and development programmes.
  • Proactively maintain your technical knowledge by keeping abreast of finance or tax performance improvements methodologies as well as the latest technology advancements to aid them.

 


Skills and attributes

 

Essential

 

  • Experience in the consulting, data analytics or tax & finance technology and be interested in specialising in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data analytics, including data visualisation, analytics process automation and advanced analytics
    • Implementation of tax / accounting software
    • Finance and tax performance / process improvement
  • Experience of managing the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects with a business-driven approach.
  • Experience of coaching and developing more junior team members.
  • Strong and motivated team player.
  • Excellent communicator in a range of situations.
  • Ability to delegate appropriately and carry out effective reviews.
  • Good time management when working across a portfolio of projects
  • Proven ability to analyse and create innovative solutions to problems.

 

                                       
Preferred

 

  • ACA/CA/ATT or other local equivalent qualifications
  • Certification in or configuration experience with technology tools, such as:
    • Power BI and/or Tableau
    • Alteryx and/or Caseware IDEA
    • SQL
    • Other Microsoft 365 apps
