Our client’s Deals Tax team works closely with their Deals practice to advise on the tax implications of a variety of deals projects, including Business Recovery Services, Real Assets & Credit and Mergers and Acquisitions.

We are looking for an individual to join our client’s Real Assets & Credit tax team as a real estate tax specialist.

You’ll work on complex and challenging assignments. The team advises on a large volume of diverse direct and indirect real estate transactions both in the UK and across the world.

Our client is committed to driving collaboration and cross-working across specialities to drive innovation and success as they service clients.  The team is supported by a wide variety of specialists including stamp, VAT, capital allowances, construction industry scheme, tax compliance and finance and treasury specialists.  The team also collaborates across different lines of service and with their overseas firms.

You will gain experience working with prestigious and interesting clients as our client has a wide client base including sovereign wealth funds, high profile multinationals, private equity funds, institutions, pension funds and REITs. 


Key responsibilities         

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as day-to-day deal manager – taking responsibility for delivery of an end-to-end reports
  • Show an active awareness of/ manage project time pressures and deadlines 
  • Delegate activities and coach junior members of the team
  • Build relationships with key client individuals 
  • Act as day-to-day contact for your clients and their advisors 
  • Consider business development opportunities 
  • Involve specialist and overseas teams as required
  • Communicate, consult and obtain input from senior team members as required
  • Apply a questioning mind and research technical areas using available internal / external resources
  • Communicate and agree budgets/ report costs 
  • Manage the risk management process 


Skills and attributes

  • Be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)
  • Evidence of working on Real Estate projects for key clients or a track record of advising on UK corporate tax  
  • Experience of leading and coaching others
  • Experience in building and leveraging internal and external relationships and networks
  • Developed communication skills, for example, in negotiating with and influencing others
  • Experience of handling and delivering multiple projects to meet deadlines
