Interim Head of VAT - 6 months

Head of VAT interim job requires an experienced VAT Director or Head of VAT, who has experience of leading a VAT function (involving people and strategy).

Fully remote role whereby the successful VAT professional will be able to work from anywhere within the UK.

This role can be worked on a 4 days or 5 days per week basis.

Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, the Head of VAT will lead a remote team of 2 UK based staff, and continue to execute the strategy for the management of VAT for the group. This will involve being accountable for the end-to-end delivery of UK and Ireland VAT compliance, and overseeing in international jurisdictions. During the interim role, you will be the primary contact for providing advice to the business on the VAT implications of business activities; and the primary point of contact for external parties on VAT related issues.

To be considered for this role you will have operated at a similar level within VAT previously, whether this is from a similar role in in-house, or a similar level role from an accounting firm. In addition, you will have proven experience of providing high level VAT advice to a business, management of compliance and also of VAT staff.

Not often dose an interim Head of VAT position come onto the tax market, and so this opportunity is to be seized.
