Personal Tax Partner

We are working closely with a high-quality West End accountancy firm, that is undertaking succession-planning for one of its key Tax Partners. The individual is a private client specialist, but will be retiring in the summer of 2023. The team is therefore looking to make a strategic hire at salaried or fixed-share Partner level and is offering a short route to equity (2-3 years).

The incoming Partner will take over a portfolio of domestic and international HNW private clients and oversee a team of ten experienced personal tax professionals. The role will be advisory-focused and cover UK res non dom and offshore trusts work, as well as advising domestic entrepreneurs and business owners. The Partner will also be encouraged to continue the growth of their Private Client offering, with business development making up part of the role once the individual has fully settled in. However, there is a full portfolio to ‘inherit’ on day one.

The successful candidate will be CTA (and possibly ACA/STEP) qualified, with extensive experience of advising HNW new-money entrepreneurial private clients on income tax, CGT and IHT planning. Knowledge of residence, domicile and offshore trusts issues is important, as is experience of advising business owners and shareholders on areas such as exit planning, remuneration planning and succession.
