This role is new and is due to continued and sustained growth and will suit you if you are a Personal Tax professional seeking to focus more on compliance management along with ad hoc advisory.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing the Tax return process for all Personal Tax clients (self-employed, partnership, HNWIs, trusts and directors etc.)
• Preparation and review of Personal & Partnership Tax returns
• Liaising with HMRC, including undertaking compliance checks
• Maintenance of registers and monitoring of deadlines
• Advising clients of tax liabilities in a consultative and timely manner
• Responding to client queries
• Professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealing with clients and other professionals, including participating in networking events
• Develop and mentor the team alongside the Partners
• Provide tax consultancy advice covering income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax for a variety of situations such as residency and domicile questions, land and property transactions, family succession planning and business purchases and sales

About you:

• CTA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience
• Previous personal tax experience gained in a practice environment. Ideally with exposure to partnership tax compliance matters too.
• Fully aware and conversant with compliance standards imposed by the various regulatory authorities
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Efficient and organised approach to work
• Good IT skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A a friendly, positive can-do attitude
• Likes to work as part of a team and can be a mentor to others when required
• Manages own workload and is proactive if help or support is needed
