Corporate Tax Specialist working for a independent accountancy firm based in South Manchester

Your new firm
Your new firm is well known and growing independent accountancy firm based in South Manchester. They have what can only be described as beautiful offices. Based not too far from the hustle and bustle of Manchester, within a stylish and modern development with lovely views of the Cheshire countryside. As a firm they offer a variety of services including audit, accounts, outsourcing, financial planning, tax compliance and tax advisory / planning. Over the last 3-4 years they have grown very organically and are now looking to further grow their tax offering with a corporate tax specialist.

Your new role
In your new role you will be working closely with a tight knit tax team, supporting the tax partner. This role involves zero compliance, with your main focus being complex advisory / planning work. In terms of clients, you will be working with OMBs across the North West, delivering excellent service. Examples of what you will be working on include R&D, Capital gains planning, business sales & acquisitions, business restructuring, share scheme extraction / dividends and inheritance tax planning. You will be seeing projects from start to finish, working autonomously with support from the tax partner. This role also comes with a huge amount of opportunity, for the right type of person director / equity opportunities are very much a possibility.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you need to come from a strong corporate tax background, having 5 years experience working in a similar independent/top 100 practice. You need to be ACA/CTA/ATT qualified or be working towards a suitable qualification. You must have corporate tax advisory experience for this role and be able to confident work on 3-4 different types of corporate advisory. Ideally you will have run projects from start to finish with some people management / mentoring experience.

What you'll get in return
In return for this role you will receive a competitive salary, depending on what level you join the firm. Salary level are between £40,000 - £60,000 depending on what level of advisory experience.
