2. JOB OBJECTIVE:

This new role will lead and oversee the quarterly and annual tax reporting (including some direct preparation) and manage the outsourced Corporate tax return preparation along with various other tax compliance related workstreams.

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description of Roles & Responsibilities

This new role will take the tax team to six people and will work closely with the Tax Director and the wider finance team and external advisers. The role holder will be expected to be lead the tax reporting workstreams, manage the outsourced corporate tax compliance function and supporting on ad hoc internal restructuring or simplification projects.

The role includes:

· Preparation of quarterly tax provision (including both current tax and deferred tax) prepared under IFRS supported at peak times by other tax members.

· Preparation of the tax disclosures for the Funds' consolidated group accounts prepared under IFRS supported at peak times by other tax members.

· Ensure that internal resources, processes, and controls are in place to produce accurate tax reporting, including identifying and implementing finance and tax process improvements as necessary.

· Preparation of the tax disclosures for the UK Statutory Accounts under UK GAAP for a small number of holding company entities.

· Managing the outsourced tax compliance process, including ensuring timely filing of tax returns for all (both UK and non-UK) Fund and wholly owned entities

· Manage compliance requirements with UK tax legislation impacting the group, including tax strategy publication, CCO, IR35 and SAO.

· Preparation of tax forms to assist in obtaining treaty exemptions or reduced withholding tax rates.

· Provide advice on compliance matters dealt with outside of the tax team, including CIS and VAT reverse charge on construction services.

· Supporting the Tax Director and external advisors in preparation transfer reports for intercompany transactions and preparing and filing the annual Country by Country Reporting

· Maintain and expand technical tax knowledge through professional development activities.

· Take a lead role in working with internal colleagues and external consultants to automate data analysis and review processes, leveraging off GLP's systems and data platform.

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree (2.1+), ACA or equivalent

Minimum Experience:

7-8 years of tax reporting and compliance experience across industry and/or in a major accounting firm in a corporate tax department.

Pan-European experience and real estate tax experience not required but would be an advantage

· Expertise - Good knowledge of tax rules and experience in corporate tax compliance and tax risk assessment.

· Expertise - Very good understanding of and experience with tax accounting under IFRS.

Note, periods of peak and trough in the year are relatively predictable and so the role could suit both four and five day working patterns.
