Are you ready to accelerate your Tax career to new heights?
Pirelli UK are offering an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager that combines a unique and interesting progressive role, with a competitive salary of up to £65,000 plus potential bonus of up to 20%, along with a company car, hybrid working and a host of other enticing benefits.
But that's just the beginning!
At Pirelli, you're not just starting a job—you're embarking on a journey towards an exhilarating and enduring career. With ample room for growth and advancement, this is your chance to carve out a path filled with excitement, innovation, and endless possibilities alongside one of the world's most iconic brands.
This is a new and unique role reporting into a dynamic, driven Financial Controller where you will act as the go to specialist for all tax related queries for the company. There are currently no reporting lines into this position currently, so it’s important that you are keen to advise the business and work hands on in terms of completing the submission of corporation and VAT tax returns on time.
You will receive plenty of support and a thorough handover from the existing Tax Specialist before they exit the business which means you will have a smooth onboarding and transition into your new role.
The future of this role is in your hands…Pirelli promotes from within and invests heavily in training and development, allowing you to carve your career and become the best version of your professional self. If you are successful and take the reins, within 12 months you will be adding to your team and moving into a more strategically focused position.
More about the role…
Pirelli are searching for a real tax expert, who has in-depth knowledge of UK tax and HMRC and who is able to interpret and understand requirements and then advise the business on the appropriate operational activities accordingly.
You'll be at the forefront of ensuring compliance with both Pirelli’s Group and Local tax policies while serving as the go-to expert for all tax-related inquiries within the business. From implementing and maintaining the principles and guidelines of the Group Tax policy to managing intricate tax filings, including income tax, VAT returns, and compliance with specific tax regimes, you will ensure the adherence to regulatory requirements.
You will develop and nurture crucial relationships with HMRC and other tax specialists, actively managing Pirelli's tax risk profile while overseeing comprehensive tax risk registers. Beyond compliance, the role encompasses accurate accounting for income and deferred tax provisions, preparation of analyses for group and statutory reporting, and forecasting prospective tax liabilities.
You will collaborate closely with the Group Tax department and other key stakeholders to navigate international tax analysis and identify opportunities for tax savings and support strategic business initiatives.
Is this role for you?
Do you hold a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or ACA qualification? Do you have previous experience in UK tax advisory within a large corporate environment?
If you hold one or both of these qualifications and have strong technical accounting and excel skills as well as up-to-date knowledge of tax issues and changes, we want to hear from you!
Ideally you will currently (or have previously) hold a similar position in a global organisation or worked for one of the Big 4 /large accounting practices supporting large clients at management level.
This role will involve interaction with the Head office in Milan too, so the successful candidate will need to be highly adaptable and have excellent communication skills, able to convey UK legal requirements to others within the wider Group.
