In-house Tax Manager - UK and Americas - UK based Altrincham or Remote.
Following significant growth in their US market - this international group seek a  Corporate Tax specialist with solid UK tax compliance and reporting experience. In this role you will oversee corporate tax compliance and reporting for the UK. You will also oversee compliance for the US - including managing advisors who prepare the returns. 
The ideal candidate would be an efficient and well organised Tax Manager whose primary focus would be to support on the UK and Americas regions. Reporting to Head of Tax – UK & Americas, this role is suitable for a committed, motivated and
proactive individual to provide technical, practical and commercial support in relation to tax advisory and compliance matters.

Experience of UK corporate tax is a necessity but experience with US/Canadian/other overseas taxes is not a pre-requisite. This business is looking for a highly self-motivated individual who is willing to learn and take increasing ownership of the tax compliance work streams. Detailed handovers, technical support and relevant training will
be provided by the team and where appropriate, through external courses and external advisers. There is potential to hire junior resource to support this role further down the line.
The Role Responsibilities
UK
? Manage all aspects of UK Tax corporate return compliance and quarterly instalment payment calculations prepared in house using Alphatax software
? Own and manage the annual cycle of internal and external tax accounting and tax reporting including tax accounting disclosures for UK statutory accounts
? Senior Accounting Officer compliance
? Support with Country-by-Country reporting
? Potential to support where required with other UK tax matters – VAT, employment taxes
? Support the business in maintaining a positive, open and honest working relationship with our HMRC Customer Compliance Manager in all UK tax matters
? Ad hoc tax advisory work
Americas
? Working with external tax compliance provider, manage the US tax return compliance cycle for Federal, State and other local Corporate income tax compliance and payments
? Own and manage the annual cycle of internal and external tax accounting and tax reporting 
? Interact with advisers and wider  tax team to understand and respond to legislative changes that impact tax compliance and reporting in the US
? Support with Sales/Use tax compliance across the US group
? Ad hoc tax advisory work
The Individual
This role is suitable for a qualified ACA/CTA or equivalent. Due to the flexible way that our tax team works they welcome applications from both experienced candidates looking to improve their work life balance and also enthusiastic/ambitious but less experienced tax advisers keen to embark on their first international tax role or first in-house role. Ideally candidates would have strong tax skills and some experience such as exposure to tax compliance issues. 
Skills and experience required for this role are:
? Tax compliance experience, desire to ultimately take complete ownership of a compliance processes
? Experience of UK corporate tax is very desirable but experience with US/Canadian Taxes is not a prerequisite
? Excellent organisation skills
? Proven ability to pick up new areas of work quickly and ability to self-motivate
? Excellent communication skills and desire to interact at all levels across a global organisation
? Pro-active with a “can do” attitude to tasks and issues that arise
? Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
? Commercially minded
A great opportunity with the chance to develop US tax skills. This role does not come with visa sponsorship can be remote worked in the UK with some travel to Altrincham (for a more experienced candidate).
