Corporate Tax Specialist Job, 12 month+ FTC, Industry, Glasgow, c.£50,000 (negotiable) + benefits

Hays is delighted to be partnered with a well-known international business in order to recruit for a Corporate Tax specialist for a FTC until December 2021. This also offers the potential of becoming a permanent role. You will work within an experienced and established international tax team which spans the globe. This opportunity is suited to an experienced Assistant Manager or Manager wishing to transition into industry, or equally a Tax Accountant with a proven track record of operating in-house already. Given present guidance, this role will be completed remotely (initially), but the business offers good flexible working in normal circumstances also.
Your new role
Your new role is diverse; covering corporate tax compliance, accounting, reporting and planning, whilst also offering you exposure to other taxes, such as employment tax. You will support on the delivery of UK, Ireland and EMEA compliance and reporting obligations for 8 corporate entities, whilst also overseeing non UK branches and other overseas entities. This will involve managing external advisers, completing SAO compliance and submissions, processing CIR calculations and compliance, fulfilling CCO compliance, and leading the Tax Audit. You will also be responsible for Transfer Pricing compliance, offering documentation support. Further to this, you will handle various Group Tax reporting requests, for example in relation to CFC, CbCR information provision and filings, Year End Tax provision support, and SOX reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
You will exhibit strong Corporate Tax technical knowledge covering compliance and supporting advisory, gained either in-house or a Practice environment. This will ideally be complimented by a relevant qualification, but this is not essential should your experience be suited. You will have excellent communication, organisation, analysis and presentation skills, and the ability to work to your own initiative. You will be motivated and hard-working, with a passion for delivering high-quality tax work.
