Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, International CA Firm, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen, £competitive
Your new company
Hays is exceedingly proud to be partnered with one of the world's largest consultancy firms in order to recruit for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager. With presence in over 100 countries and having won numerous awards across Tax, Audit and Accounts including the Firm of the Year, they are a first class organisation. Given the scope, they work with tens of thousands of clients spanning public and private sectors and almost all industries. Taking a collaborative approach, they advocate the sharing of ideas, responsibilities and reward. Undoubtedly this is a remarkable opportunity for an experienced tax professional to gain "the best of both worlds" by joining a medium-sized Business Tax Team - offering relative autonomy and encouraging independent thinking - whilst being a part of a substantial, vibrant and highly reputable firm with variation, high-quality work and progression. The firm offers brilliant flexible and agile working (albeit the role will be fulfilled remotely initially given present circumstances). Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered, and you may be based from either one of their three Scottish offices depending on your location.
Your new role
As the Assistant Tax Manager, you will prepare complex corporate tax returns and computations whilst reviewing the compliance work of more junior members of the team. You will ensure deadlines are met and high-quality standards are maintained. You will also seek solutions to technical issues, assisting with the preparation of tax reports in relation to planning projects. In doing so, you will build strong relationships with clients, becoming a key point of contact and regularly attending (virtual) meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record in delivering corporate tax compliance services within the practice profession. You may be an experienced Assistant Manager or a newly ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified professional ready for the step to this level. You will demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills, with ambition and motivation.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary alongside an array of benefits, such as critical illness cover, dental insurance, health assessments, income protection, life assurance, pensions and private medical. You can also buy up to 10 extra days holiday. This firm offers brilliant support and progression, and the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge.
