Corporate Tax Lawyer

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Corporate Tax Lawyer to join a growing Times Top 100 Best Companies law firm employing around 250 people. The successful candidate could be based out of any of our Leicester, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Norwich or Cambridge offices.

Our client range is predominantly owner managed businesses including companies, LLPs, and partnerships, but also includes larger companies, high net worth individuals, trusts and some charities. We work closely with our clients to become their trusted advisors and help them through key decisions for their businesses.

You will be ATT or CTA qualified and will have solid technical knowledge and the ability to translate this into accessible advice for professional and lay clients. You will be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team on numerous projects at the same time, with supervision and support as required. Other members of the team have joined the firm from accounting backgrounds, and a legal qualification is not required.

You will provide business tax support to legal transactions including corporate sales and restructurings, business investment and property transactions as well as advice on employee benefits and on the impact of property transactions as part of an existing close-knit tax team.

Your work will include liaising with our corporate teams to negotiate tax deeds and provide comprehensive advice on business restructuring and other transactions, as well as supporting lawyers on tax matters across the wider firm. Experience of VAT, settlement agreements, share schemes, and/or SDLT will be an advantage. You will be comfortable being involved in business development and marketing activities.
