Corporate Tax Senior Manager, Mid-Tier CA Firm, Edinburgh, £generous + benefits

Hays is pleased to be partnered with a global mid-tier firm with three hundred offices across the world, specialising in Audit, Tax, Accountancy, Legal and Advisory Services. Given its reputation and renowned professional experts, the firm operates on behalf of diverse clients, from growing SMEs to international players, in addition to entrepreneurs and third / public sector organisations. As a result of consistent business development and an internal promotion, the firm is looking to recruit for a Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager who will be a pivotal senior member of the Scottish Central Belt Compliance Team. This role may be completed on a full-time or part-time basis (4 days per week).

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Scottish Tax Partner, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of compliance services. This will involve managing staff; reviewing and approving their tax computations and tax accounting as well as some tax audit. You will manage the WIP and billing process, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget whilst maintaining contact with the customers. In doing so, you will develop strong relationships with clients, in particular privately owned businesses, proactively talking to them about tax opportunities. You will also be involved in proposals for new business and liaising regularly with colleagues across various service lines.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record delivering high-quality compliance services to a range of clients, ideally encompassing privately owned businesses. This will preferably be compliments by a relevant qualification such as ACA and/or CTA, however those qualified-by-experience will be considered. You will have strong client relationship management experience with excellent interpersonal and organisation skills. A willingness to learn, progress and interest in tax technology will enhance your application.
