Customs Assistant Manager

This role is in a dynamic and growing Customs team that serves clients from all over the UK.  You will provide customs compliance and advisory services to clients in a wide range of industry sectors.  This work includes:

  • Technical compliance such as classification, origin & valuation
  • Customs declaration procedure
  • Use of special procedures
  • Customs software and reporting
  • Supply chain optimisation

You will act as the first point of contact for your clients and will take responsibility for the project delivery on your client portfolio.  This includes identifying areas of risk and technical matters and reporting these to your manager, liaising with HMRC and managing and supporting junior colleagues. 

You must have customs technical experience with a minimum of 2-3 years from either industry, logistics, freight forwarding, HMRC or an accountancy background.  You must also be able to build good relationships with your clients and colleagues and have the confidence to lead projects
