We are working with a Financial Services organisation on an Employment Tax Manager role based in London or Brighton area. The role offers a wide remit across the group including compliance governance, advisory and process improvement projects. You will cover both UK and international Employment Tax matters, including both employers' and employees' National Insurance / Social Security, PAYE and local tax equivalent, the apprenticeship levy and local equivalents, benefit in kind reporting, CIS, Off-Payroll workers and equivalent overseas employment tax obligations. The role will be also be involved with Global Mobility, including cross broader advice and STBVs.
In addition to the core Employment Tax activities, process improvement is one of the key strategic projects the role will be involved with, incorporating Technology & Innovation, while there will be a strong collaboration with the wider tax operational model. This is a great opportunity to join an established and complex business, covering all tax issues relating to group's employees.
- CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualifying experience, or with equivalent experience of employment taxes.
- Detailed knowledge of UK Taxes Acts and regulations, particularly as they apply to the employment taxes.
- Understanding of the principles around tax, social security and payroll in other countries, the practical impact of double tax treaties, and how to research further information
- An understanding of employment tax implications for international mobile employees, and the principles for local employees
