Home based Tax Consultant

Home based client facing R&D consultant role, you will be joining a highly motivated and experienced team of dedicated R&D colleagues who pride themselves on providing a top class service. You will be visiting a wide range of clients across several sectors including Engineering, IT and Food and Drink. This newly created position is to analyse client's business projects and activities in relation to research and development for tax relief purposes. In addition to good interpersonal skills the role demands strong analytical and report writing ability. You will be establishing key staff involved in projects; evaluating qualifying research and development activity in relation to HMRC guidance and legislation; reviewing financial accounts and formulating a report on key activity and associated qualifying costs. FULL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED, IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO HOLD A PROFESSIONAL TAX QUALIFICATION. The prerequisites for the job include exceptional attention to detail; organisational skills; professional report writing experience; client engagement experience; methodical problem solving and a full clean driving licence. Please note, this role will require regular travel for which a hybrid company car is provided and you must be prepared for overnight stays.  Applications from maths or science graduates welcome.
