Interim Assistant Tax Manager

I am working with a Global Banking Group based in the City of London. They are looking to make an addition to their small team, providing you with a breadth of experience. The role is initially for 6-12months and likely to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit the tax returns for the UK branches and subsidiaries
  • Prepare the year end corporation tax computations and deferred tax for the statutory accounts
  • Reconcile the tax accounts
  • Handle all operational tax issues including FATCA, withholding tax, treaty relief and reclaims
  • Provide accurate and timely advice to both the front and back office support teams
  • Provide analysis of the tax implications of specific transactions or business proposals
  • Update and review tax internal controls framework and tax procedures
  • Prepare and maintain the Bank's Tax Risk Register
  • Monitor changes in UK legislation
  • Prepare the bank levy calculations

Requirements:

  • Newly ACA/CTA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent
  • Financial services experience is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation
