This is a newly created International Tax Manager (Senior) role reporting into the Head of Tax and suitable for someone looking for a first in-house role or to progress their in-house career.
My client is a Private Equity backed and successful , global , consulting and data analytics / technology firm. They have offices across the Americas, EMEA and APAC and are looking to grow their in-house team following a transformation of their finance function.
As the International Tax Manager, you will support the Head of Tax with all aspects of compliance, planning and policy. This role will manage the global compliance relationship, be the key first point of contact with the business and provide leadership on all international tax matters within the business. As a subject matter expert on all tax issues, you will be expected to provide both technical and commercial advice to finance, commercial and operational teams.
You will be a highly commercial tax professional who is keen to understand the broader legal, accounting, treasury & finance contexts of working in an in-house tax team.
Work with the Head of Tax and other key decision makers within the business to develop and deliver a robust international tax strategy across the group
Oversight of all direct and indirect tax compliance processes, relationships, and controls
Manage the global transfer pricing process
Support the Head of Tax on M&A, tax audits and any other advisory work
Assist with tax reporting for stat financial statements and forecasting
Act as tax business partner for all Company functions
The succesful candiate for the International Tax Manager (Senior) role will be:
A qualified Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor - at least 3/4 years PQE (A Manager or Senior Manager in the BIG 4 for example)
Have UK and International tax technical knowledge
Need Tax accounting knowledge
Knowledge or experience of post-merger/acquisition integration would be useful
Knowledge of PE backed businesses would be useful
Familiarity with Alphatax would be useful
Ability to support/guide and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders
Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels, demonstrating subject matter expertise. Ability to explain recommendations to process owners/ non-tax audience through logical, clear and concise communication and collaborate effectively with colleagues
Ability to effectively plan/manage/prioritise work to meet objectives of multiple or competing priorities/projects
Have a good business acumen and be risk-aware

The successful International Tax Manager (Senior) will be offered a Salary of between £70,000 and £80,000 + A Bonus (Competitive) and Benefits Package. This will be a 3 day office / 2 day WFH opportunity post Covid-19..
