Top10 independent firm in the North West looking for a personal tax specialist to join their Manchester office


Your new firm
This reputable practice is an independent firm with a national presence (offices: Manchester, Blackburn, Birmingham, London). They are a general practice with a service offering including; audit and assurance, taxation (personal & corporate tax, VAT, investigations, R&D, IHT, international tax etc.), corporate services (MBOs, PE, M&A, etc.), and specific end-to-end services for SMEs. They cover a broad range of industry sectors including; property & construction, charity, manufacturing, education, professional & legal, innovation, insurance, sports & leisure, motor & transport, and have a total of 17 partners firm-wide that provide exceptional standards of customer focused services.

Your new role
In this job as a personal tax manager you will be responsible for managing your own varied portfolio of clients and meeting their compliance needs. You will also handle any tax planning requirements for your clients as well as any ad-hoc advisory work. Dependent on your prior experience in people management you may also be responsible for supervision and training for more junior tax members of staff.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful applicant for this role, you will have experience of managing your own personal tax portfolio from within a reputable practice and be confident in providing both compliance and advisory services. You will be a driven self-starter and ideally, be ATT/CTA qualified.
What you'll get in return

In return for your efforts you will receive a competitive salary of between £30,000-£40,000 dependent on experience, as well as 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. You will also be entitled to free on-site parking, flexible working hours and part time contracts if required and remote working for those days you need to work from home.
