A Chartered Accountant based in Manchester city centre, with a strong national presence are seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join their team. This firm is a general practice that covers all aspects of accountancy including (but not limited to), audit, accounting, cloud accounting, corporate financial services, executive payroll, financial planning, expatriate services, personal insolvency, private client services, and an end-to-end multi-team tax capability (ie. personal and corporate compliance, and technical tax planning in VAT, R&D). Their experience is most specialised in the sectors of automotive, property, academy schools, recruitment and sports.
Your new role
As Personal Tax Senior, you will be responsible for providing compliance services for your portfolio of clients, reporting directly into the management. You will work with a varied client base, carrying out compliance relating to self-assessment tax returns, capital gains, benefits in kind, PAYE etc. Your hands on role will facilitate quick and well-rounded development and due to the close nature in the way their tax teams operate, will likely be able to gain exposure to aspects of tax beyond just the personal.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have notable experience within and accountancy practice and be ATT/CTA qualified, or qualified by experience, with prior experience working with a portfolio of Personal Tax clients. You will have an up to date knowledge of relevant tax legislation, and some advisory skills would be desirable. Ideally you will be a self-started, work well within a team and have a desire to progress through the ranks of this excellent firm.
What you'll get in return
In return for your hard work, you will be rewarded with a salary between £25,000 - £35,000, working within a well-established and reputable firm.
