A major professional services firm is expanding its R&D specialist team and is looking to hire an ambitious Manager (or Senior Manager) for their Cambridge office. They are recruiting in response to their expanding pipeline of work which last year provided 20+% growth. Their expansion is due to significant investment and the relocation of work from London to be serviced by the Cambridge teams.

The firm has over 70 R&D specialists spread across the UK and Cambridge is their centre of excellence for Innovation Incentives. You would work alongside the leading subject matter experts including the firm’s National and Global leads for R&D, both of whom are based in the South East.

Cambridge is indeed the UK home of innovation, with both starts ups and inbound organisations establishing strong roots. There have been 17 companies spawned in Cambridge which have grown to a market valued of $bn+, many of which are clients of the team. The growth of the local market and the relocation of work from London will mean the team continues to grow, and so you would have the opportunity for fast development and accelerated promotion.

Desirable Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the UK R&D tax incentives regimes
  • Experience of SME and RDEC claims
  • Strong technical ability, combined with business acumen
  • Knowledge of Patent Box legislation would be advantageous
  • Experience of responding to HMRC queries on R&D claims

The successful candidate will be able to efficiently manage the delivery of high-quality R&D claims, develop and maintain strong client relationships while helping to support the development of junior colleagues.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with a clear prospect for promotion in the coming 12+ months. For more information, please contact Charlie Cumber at Nebula Partners on CCumber@nebula-partners.com or +44 (0) 2079474302
