R&D Tax Senior Manager, Big 4 firm, Birmingham, paying £65-80,000 + benefits

Your new company

You will be joining a Big 4 accountancy firm in Birmingham working on their highly successful Research & Development Tax team. The UK government provides tax incentives to businesses performing R&D; this firm's R&D tax services group is a market leader in helping clients secure these incentives.


Your new role

As a Technical Senior Manager, you will be expected to meet with your clients to understand from them the R&D work they have been involved in. Using this information alongside your existing IT/Software/Science/Engineering knowledge and experience you are expected to provide a summary of the R&D activity for a non-technical audience. You must have excellent verbal communication skills as it will be expected that you are able to conduct business development and conduct interviews of clients to extract information on their R&D activity. Furthermore it is expected you have strong written communication skills to be able to summarise R&D activity for a non-technical audience. Furthermore as a Senior Manager on the team you will be expected to manage a portfolio of clients and ensure deadlines are met.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have an educational background in IT/Software//Science/Engineering and have experience managing individuals and client projects in the R&D arena.
