A leading Global Asset Manager is looking to expand its tax team in London. This is a rare opportunity to transition from a professional services role into a commercially minded inhouse position. No timesheets, billable hour targets or feeling like a small cog in a large wheel. This will be a key position within the team, dealing with a wide range of tax issues working closely with the Head of Tax as well as stakeholders in the wider finance team as well as the deals teams. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to accelerate their current career trajectory, leap frogging their peers in terms of compensation as well as the variety and quality of the tax technical work.
Reporting into the Head of Tax, but also liaising directly with other members of the tax and finance group, you will have the opportunity to become intimately involved in all aspects of the funds tax work. You will learn from industry leading specialists and take responsibility at an early stage for a variety of interesting tax projects.
The successful candidate will be a newly-qualified - 2 years PQE (ACA/CTA/CPA or equivalent) tax specialist with UK tax experience gained in a leading professional services firm. Furthermore, the successful candidate is likely to be top rated within their current tax team. Having trained within a tax team in a large professional services firm is essential, however specific experience dealing with the asset management or private equity sector is not necessary provided you can demonstrate a genuine interest in the sector. Any secondment experience would be beneficial in setting you apart, but again, not essential.
Basic salary of up to £60,000 plus industry leading benefits and a bonus up to 25%. You can expect to see this increase exponentially over the short-medium term.
