Top20 accountancy practice in Manchester centre, (national presence) seeking specialist Tax Advisor (£Comp.)

Your new company
A firm of Chartered Accountants based in Manchester city centre, with a strong national presence, are seeking a specialist in Tax Advice to join their team and help them expand their resource and market coverage. This firm is a general practice that cover all aspects of accountancy including (but not limited to), audit, accounting, cloud accounting, corporate financial services, executive payroll, financial planning, expatriate services, personal insolvency, private client services, and possess an end-to-end multi-team tax capability (ie. personal and corporate compliance, and technical tax planning in VAT, R&D etc.) Their experience is most specialised in the sectors of automotive, property, academy schools, recruitment and sports.

Your new role
In this Manchester based job as Tax Advisor your new firm's Tax team works collaboratively across the corporate, personal and specialist tax teams. This role has been created due to the firm's current demand for work in the market, coupled with future expansion plans. Your new role in Tax Advisor job will be highly clients focused. Your job will be to; capitalise on existing business within the marketplace, visit clients and to build relationships, identify business opportunities with these, and provide sound technical advice to the clients on business decisions, and to be seen as a general sounding board for their ideas. You will assist on a variety of projects, including but not limited to; demergers, share exchanges, company valuations, acquisitions, disposals, and the role may also involve some management responsibilities. This role may include the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of this expanding department, and you will be required to add value and key insights of the wider market, while being given the autonomy to explore new work too.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have notable experience within an accountancy practice and be ATT/CTA qualified, or qualified by experience, with prior experience working with a varied, high-level portfolio of clients. You will be confident building and maintaining client relationships have a broad and up to date knowledge of relevant tax legislation, with exceptional advisory skills also being desired. Ideally you will be a self-starter, work well within a team and have a desire to progress through the ranks of this excellent firm.
