VAT & Taxation Technical Post

Southampton is an exciting and growing city, and the council is at the forefront of driving this regeneration and change. We are looking for a qualified CCAB, CIOT, ITT or tax professional with at least 3 years’ experience and knowledge. Experience of working in the local government sector is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate depth and breadth of VAT and taxation experience and knowledge.


The purpose of this role is to support and enable the delivery of high quality services to the residents, businesses and visitors to the city of Southampton. This position will be responsible for providing robust technical advice and recommendations on VAT and Tax issues and supporting the VAT, Tax & Pensions Manager in ensuring Southampton City Council meets its statutory obligations.
