VAT Assistant Manager required by a Top 10 Practice based in Birmingham. They are a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services to middle market leaders, globally. This Firm builds relationships with its clients based on understanding what is important to them, through building strong, collaborative lasting relationships. This Firm works across a wide-ranging client base with a balance between sector specialism and general advisory.
Your new role
The VAT Assistant Manager will be working directly with the VAT Partners, Directors and Managers, being an integral member of the wider VAT team by providing high quality VAT technical advice and solutions to both internal and external clients.
Key responsibilities: -
- Providing assistance and guidance to internal teams on the preparation of VAT returns.
- Building relationships with colleagues in both the regional and wider national VAT team.
- External client contact, undertaking supervision of work on client assignments.
- Liaising with clients on VAT Compliance
- Assisting VAT Partners and Directors with WIP management and billing
What you'll need to succeed
The successful VAT Assistant Manager will have experience of working at an appropriate level within VAT and be experienced in providing advice and guidance within a client facing environment with proven experience of managing a busy portfolio.
